Point Reyes North Beach closed. A 58-foot fishing vessel ran aground Friday, temporarily shutting down the beach at Point Reyes National Seashore while crews work to extract the fuel onboard. Roughly 1,000 gallons of diesel remain in the hull; no spills or injuries reported so far. Let's hope they get this cleaned up without a mess. KSRO

Santa Rosa Marathon. I'm exhausted just thinking about running that far. The 18th annual race drew more than 4,000 runners to the streets this weekend. Finishers landed at Old Courthouse Square, where live music and food capped the morning. KSRO

Bohemian's fall arts preview. For those of you who plan ahead and want to support the arts... The paper published its season roundup covering stages across the county, from Green Music Center and Luther Burbank Center to Railroad Square Music Fest and the Occidental Jazz Festival. Eight venues and festivals get the spotlight, including Santa Rosa Open Studios and Ross Street Live. Bohemian

Now open: Smash — Chef Ari Weiswasser of Glen Ellen Star opened a fast-casual smashburger spot on Sonoma Plaza back in May, and Sonoma Magazine provides a review of the casual burger joint. It currently has 4.3 stars on Google Maps. (Sonoma Magazine)
