Happy Friday, Sonoma County. It's hard to keep up with the weather lately. Freezing in the morning, baking in the afternoon. Friday warms up and the weekend cools off by Sunday. The Roundup

PG&E power shutoffs, possibly through Saturday. It's the season for power shutoffs. I hope you all make it through just fine. PG&E began a Public Safety Power Shutoff in Sonoma County Wednesday around 7:30 pm, and it could last through Saturday, so check the PG&E outage map for your area's shutoff and restoration times. The county put the count at about 2,041 PG&E customers here, and dry conditions and gusty winds pushed PG&E to widen its North Bay list to nearly 10,000 customers. SoCo Emergency · KSRO

Public forum on license-plate cameras, Oct. 19. The county Commission on Human Rights hosts a public forum Monday on local police use of automated license plate readers like Flock cameras, with a long public comment period, and it moved to the Sonoma County Fairgrounds because of the expected turnout. Panelists include Sheriff Eddie Engram, local police chiefs, elected officials and privacy advocates, and the forum's recommendations go to the Board of Supervisors and city councils. KSRO

Business Happenings

Now open: Wild Poppy Cafe and Marketplace — I always wanted to, but never stopped by their old location west of Sebastopol. I'm looking forward to trying the new one. The cafe's second location fills a 3,500-square-foot former brewery at The Barlow, with brunch and lunch on a sunny patio. (Sonoma Magazine)

Good eats: The Greek at Appellation Healdsburg — I do love good Greek food. It's a bit pricy, but looks fantastic. Food-truck chef Dino Moniodis cooks an $85 five-course Monday dinner at Folia Bar + Kitchen in Healdsburg, sold out every week since it began in late September. (Sonoma Magazine)

More good eats: Black Cod Week — The lesser known local fish is getting it's day in the sun. Oct. 17–25, restaurants countywide put a black cod dish on the menu and local markets sell the fish fresh, to support the local fishing industry. (Sonoma County Tourism)
