The Roundup
Sebastopol Porchfest returns September 12. The neighborhood festival puts bands on actual porches for a day, and the Bohemian's preview makes the case that the porch, not the lineup, is the point. Worth putting on the calendar a week out. Bohemian
Handline has been drawing a line in Sebastopol for a decade. Sonoma Magazine went back to the west county fish-taco and oyster counter to find out what has held up after ten years, right down to the chocolate-and-vanilla swirl at the soft-serve window. Sonoma Magazine
Nearly 200 people filled Old Courthouse Square for Nepal. North Bay Nepalese residents and their neighbors held a candlelight vigil Tuesday evening after catastrophic flooding and landslides, gathering donations for relief work back home. KSRO
Business Happenings
Now open: Graton Station — a cafe and bakery in the town's former firehouse, giving Graton the coffee shop it has gone without. (Sonoma Magazine)
Now open: Dolce Rosa Cafe — brunch, pasta and espresso in Rincon Valley, with pistachio running through most of the menu. (Sonoma Magazine)
Back open: Acre Pizza — the Barlow location reopens Friday after an electrical fire forced it to close. (KSRO)
